Urticaria/Hives Causes and Treatment .

Causes of Urticaria/Hives-

According to modern science urticaria are short time lesions That composed of centrally located raised itchy area.

Individual lesion  can be round , oval or figurate and are very itchy in nature.

1) urticarial lesions sometimes can also be seen in patients with hypo or hyper thyroidism, Matocytosis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis .

2) The urticaria which is caused by exposure of Sunlight is called solar urticaria.

3) cold urticaria area also happens when skin is exposed to cold.

4) Sometimes urticaria is precipitated by heat, exercise or emotion which is called cholinergic urticaria.

Why do I get Urticaria /hives or Sheetpitta ?

According to ayurveda due to exposure to cold atmosphere kaffa Dosha and Vata Dosha is increased which blocks pitta dosha and pitta dosha increases due to its own relevant causes .Further with pitta Dosha enters blood and skin and comes out in the form of hives.In Ayurveda which called Sheetpitta.

On your end you must do nidan parivarjan means avoid the causes of Sheetpitta. ( be attentive towards causes written below . )

1) Milk products avoid them.

2) Jaggery or sugar cane juice

3) Sugar

4) seafood

4) Alcohol

5) Avoid sleep during day

6) Do not stop urge of vomit.

Some do’s for urticaria

1) Take bath with warm water.

2) Cover the body with warm clothes

3) Massage with mustard oil

Beneficial foods are bittermelon, rice ,mustard ,Pomegranate, honey, and white radish .
